Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Around 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance will start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are likely, with the company planning to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount planned to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, the company retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not provided a response to a request for comment.
